One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest is really confusing to me. The narrarator, Broom really confuses me with his delusions. It is hard to tell if what is really going on or if he is just imagining it. It’s weird how everyone thinks that he can not hear them, but he really can and knows what is going on. When he thinks that his pills are microchips really shocked me. He stops taking them because he makes himself think that the nurses do dangerous stuff to him while he is sleeping. This makes it seem like the nurses are so much worse than they really are, when all they are really doing is trying to get them to sleep through the whole night. His delusions really confuse me. Also, I think McMurphy is somewhat faking it. I think he just wanted to get out of the work farm so he pretended to be mental. But there are times when it shows that he might not all be there. The part when they say that he sexually assaulted a under age girl. That is an example that shows that he really may not be all there because most normal men would not do that, unless they are mentally sick. Another thing that shows that he may be mental is that he always gets into fights. He does not control his anger like most could. This is what I got out of some of the characters and their actions.
